Jeti dengan The Alfan

Olympic - T.R.C. 1074
Singapore

A1 - Mesra Di-Kenangan
A2 - Churiga-Churiga
B1 - Bisekan Kalbu
B2 - Sunyi Menanti

What? You say you've never heard about Jeti before?? Then it's about time you got acquainted!

Not sure were Jeti hails from, the lyrics seem to be in Malay and the EP was released in Singapore which was a veritable melting pot of the South-East Asian music scene of the 1960s-70s.  Backing band "The Alfan" recorded with many other artists too and may have had a few releases on their own if I recall correctly. They sound absolutely fantastic here, great organ, violin and percussion sounds. Malay EPs of this kind can be pretty much a hit & miss affair, especially when you blindly buy records just cause the cover art looks great, once in a while a real gem turns up and this is one of them. As you can see on the cover the music is presented in glorious StereoMono!

Enjoy!
